The BREM-80U is an armored repair vehicle of the Cartel.

Gameplay[]

BREM-80Us are very tough support units unarmed, but with the ability to heal nearby friendly vehicles.

As Cartel's only option of mobile repair, BREM-80U is on the durable side of their units, avaliabe as soon as the Repair Center is built. Though the faction seeks prevalence with stealth units like the Spectre that can avoid fire entirely, they are no short on the likes of conventional units like the Superhind, Koalitsija and Scorpio, specifically in the early game before the Stealth Lab becomes avaliable. In this aspect, BREM-80Us can drastically extend their longevity on the field to both fragile and resilient units alike, especially those that are likely to wander in the line of fire. Defensively this unit works just as well, able to top up other vehicles to repel enemy assaults and their armor makes them difficult to take down. In groups, they can outheal repeated attacks, buying allied units much more time to return fire damage quickly.

The two major downsides of using BREM-80Us are its poor defense and cost. It cannot repair itself, often necessitating the presence of several others for practical use, and unlike the Hercules, it is unarmed. Though armored vehicles that are paired with repair units are typically able to take the heat, Cartel's Spectre is too fragile and their toughest vehicles, the Superhind/Koalitsija, aren't the best for covering it as well, making it far more vulnerable to enemy helicopters and anti-armor infantry despite the increased health unless in very large hordes. Considering aluminum can be rather scarce at all stages of the game, they are also a risky investment, since these resources could be better spent on other upgrades first and may work far better than producing BREM-80Us in the long term, not to mention relying solely on vehicles usually isn't the best for the Cartel. BREM-80Us remain critical to any Cartel strategy however simply with its irreplaceable strengths.
