The Chimera is a multinational task force created by the United Nations with the original purpose of providing intelligence and military support for the investigation into the Shanghai Crash. This UN-led organisation is composed of many foreign military equipment. They are superior to the U.S. Army, but inferior to the Cartel in technology.[1]

TriviaEdit

  • The Chimera is the counterpart of the Task Force Talon from Act of War, as both are relatively most technologically advanced factions, but beaten in certain parts to the antagonist faction, namely the Consortium's stealth and railgun technology versus the Task Force Talon.
  • The faction's name is fitting as their arsenal is a mix of foreign military products from many countries.
  • During development, the Chimera was originally conceived as a special unit of super soldiers organized by select members of the United Nations, under the placeholder name 'Tererra'[2] (a modification of the French word 'terre', meaning 'earth').
