The Dustoff is a Medical Transport Helicopter of the United States Army.

Gameplay[]

Dustoff is a pretty useful vehicle, boasting good mobility, low health, eight slots for infantry and the ability to heal allied ones within or nearby,. They can be later improved with countermeasures.

Easily one of the most accessible transports in general, Dustoff holds several incredibly valuable roles. It can be deployed as soon as the Field Hospital is built and easily produced due to its moderate credit cost. Aside from moving infantry around for strategical deployments, it can also quickly snatch stranded pilots produced from destroyed vehicles and quickly bring them home to recover some credits. It additionally comes with the merit of healing infantry and reviving wounded ones, supplementing its utility well as it can back friendly forces occupying structures while staying away from enemy fire, or to prevent enemies from capturing them without a fight.

A major downside to this unit is its inability to defend itself. With low health and only limited countermeasures, Dustoff can be easily destroyed if it comes under fire for even a split second. Although many ground vehicles are unable to touch it, anti-air units are generally never in short supply under any circumstances, not to mention its large healing hologram often giving itself away. More often than not, friendly infantry will have to be pulled back before Armed transports like the Stryker ICV/Osprey as well as the Little Bird's stealth detection and sight range can put it in an awkward situation where it cannot efficiently back infantry units unless friendly forces are already having the upper hand in an engagement, while the Field Hospital, its associated structure, does its job for home defense. Regardless, being the only mobile healing option of its faction, Dustoff still functions rather well when the circumstances allow.
